As a qualified Time to Think Consultant, I offer the following courses based on the principles of Nancy Kline’s Thinking Environment. If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, please contact me. I’m always happy to work with you to tailor a course that fits perfectly for you and your team.

For the time being, all courses will be held on Zoom. Current costs are therefore at a reduced rate, so it’s a great time to learn.

The Time to Think Foundation Course

This two day course will introduce you to the principles and practice of the Thinking Environment. It focuses on how to work with teams, groups and organisations in ways that amplify everyone’s ability to think for themselves.

You will learn the specific elements that together create an environment in which people can think for themselves “with courage, imagination and grace”. During the course of the two days you will experience and examine these elements in practice: in pairs, small groups and whole group activities. You will leave understanding the basic building blocks which, if consistently applied, will help you turn teams groups and organisations into Thinking Environments.

You will also experience a Thinking Partnership demonstration. This will introduce you to the transformative value of applying the principles of the Thinking Environment in one-to-one conversations, laying the foundation for further in-depth work for leaders, mentors, coaches and consultants.

Maximum group size: 10

Cost: £690 + VAT

This course is a prerequisite for the Time to Think Facilitator Qualifying Course.

The Thinking Partnership

You will participate both as Thinker (considering topics of your choice), and as Thinking Partner (practicing this elegant expertise).

Along the way you will explore all Ten Components of a Thinking Environment.

Transforming Meetings

ADD COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is also offered as a full day (or two half days) course for teams and groups who regularly meet together. In the first session we will follow the schedule set out above. In the second session we will practice what we have learnt to explore challenges or topics of your choice, in real time. This course can include an element of coaching and consultation for the team leader, or team coaching, as required.

Creating a Thinking Culture

This course is for leaders, managers, HR and OD professionals who already have some experience of working with the Thinking Environment or who have completed one of the introductory courses and would like to explore how to apply your learning within your team or organisation.

We will share case studies and practical experience. The course will incorporate all the building blocks of the Thinking Environment in an experiential way. Together we will use these building blocks to analyse participants’ individual working environments and key challenges, examine limiting assumptions, share experience and create an individual blueprint for creating a thinking culture in your workplace.

The course will be held online over three days, and will include an initial one-to-one tutorial. Participants will be strongly encouraged to form independent thinking pairs or dialogue groups to support their learning and application during and after the course.
